Q: What are eyelash extensions?
A:
Eyelash extensions are individual false lashes that are adhered to each of your natural lashes, allowing you to achieve longer, more defined lashes. Lash extensions should always be applied by a trained and licensed professional.
Q: Do lash extensions damage your natural lashes?
A:
When lash extensions are applied properly, and well taken care of with proper after care they will do absolutely no damage to your natural lashes. Here at Honey Esthetics we are dedicated to providing beautiful and safe lashes!
Q: How long do lash extensions last?
A:
Eyelash extensions require touch up appointments every 2-3 weeks depending upon how well you take care of your lashes and how slow or fast your natural lash shed/growth cycle is. The average person loses anywhere form 2-5 natural lashes per day, which is why fills are required during that specific time frame.
Q: How long are lash appoinments?
A:
Appointments vary in time depending upon the amount of natural lashes you have. Full sets range from 2 hours-3 hours + 30 minutes, and fills range from 60 minutes- 2 hours.
Q: Can I wear mascara with lash extensions?
A:
There is no need to wear mascara with lash extensions. The lash extensions we use come in a dark black color. Mascara will only add weight and buildup that can be extremely difficult to remove. This extra build up and weight will cause extensions to fall out prematurely, and will put your natural lash health at risk.
Q: What is a lash lift?
A:
A lash lift is when your esthetician gives your natural lashes a temporary curl that typically lasts 6-8weeks. Lifts are often paired with a lash tinting service, to give your lashes a darker more bold appearance
Q: What is the difference between classic, hybrid, and volume lashes?
A:
The difference between each set is how many eyelash extensions are placed per natural lash. The more natural you would like your lashes to be- the lesser amount of lashes are applied per natural lash and vice versa if you'd like a more dramatic look. A classic set consists of one extension per natural lash, resulting in a more natural look. A volume set consists of multiple extension put together which we call a volume fan. These volume fans are applied to each of your natural lashes, this creates a very bold look. A hybrid set is a combination of classic and volume, this set will allow you to achieve a fuller lash line than you would get with a classic set but not as bold as a volume set.
Q: Do you fill other lash artists works?
A:
Here at Honey Esthetics we take lash health and proper application very seriously. That being said, we do offer a "New Client Touch up".This appointment is longer than an average touch up and starts with a mini consult so your lash artist can evaluate your current lashes to see if it safe to continue with a fill or if a removal and full set will be needed. A removal and full set are only recommended when your current lashes are putting your natural lash health at risk. We alway strive to create not only personalized, beautiful lash extensions but make sure all of our clients have extensions that are 100% safe for their natural lashes.
